Pamper Yourself
There’s something wonderful about self-care purely for the self. The perfect way to spend this sunday is to pamper yourself. Not only will this calm your nerves, it will leave you feeling gorgeous and ready to take on a new week!
- Face Mask: A face mask is the perfect way to extract the dirt from your pores and gives you a rejuvenated feeling once it is done.
- Hair Mask: A hair mask is best for restoring the oils to your hair which help it become shiny and sleek in the best way.
- Nails: Doing your nails always makes you feel better. Some at home gel or acrylic kits can be tough which isn’t relaxing but a regular polish is perfect. We also suggest looking into getting an electric nail filer, they make everything easier.
- Spa Bath: Creating the perfect spa bath is easy and fun. Grab soaking salts, bath bombs or bath oils and dump the one you choose in. We suggest something with lavender oil in it, it’s known for its calming effect.
- Get Yourself A Gift: Nothing says me time like buying yourself something nice.
Comfort Food
We all need to sit down on the couch and consume an ungodly amount of food every once in a while. After all, carbs create serotonin in the brain which is bound to put a smile on your face. Order some decadent takeout. If you’re on a tight budget, then you can easily make yourself an indulgent meal for one.
Homemade italian food is a great way to go. It’s easy to make and it’s usually packed with nutrients, carbs, and fat (your arteries give you a free pass on holidays) .
The recipes below are perfect for one or for sharing with roommates and friends you might be quarantining with!
Pizza for one:
Pizza is always a crowd pleaser even if you’re the only one in the crowd. So take the easy way out by buying the ingredients and making yourself the perfect pizza.
Ingredients:
-Pizza Dough (You can make your own if you’re feeling adventurous)
-1 cup crushed tomatoes
-1 tbsp oregano
-1 tbsp basil
-1 clove of garlic, minced
-1 tsp sugar
-Cheese of your choice
-Toppings of your choice
-4 tbsps olive oil
Get Cooking:
Begin by taking a saucepan and heat 3 tbsp olive oil, then add your minced garlic. Once the garlic is fragrant add your tomatoes, oregano, basil and sugar then add salt and pepper to taste. Let simmer for 20 minutes, now you have pizza sauce.
If your dough was purchased from a restaurant then throw down some flour and roll it out. If your dough was purchased from the store and it has not had time you rise then place it in an oiled bowl with a towel on top and allow it to double in size.
Take a sheet pan and place the remaining tablespoon of olive oil on it, this will help create a crispy crust. Place your rolled out dough on the pan, add your sauce and toppings and bake in an oven at 450 degrees until crispy golden brown at the bottom. Once golden brown at the bottom you have the option on turning on broil to crisp up the top.
Cake for one:
You can’t end the night without having something sweet, it’s actually impossible. If you haven’t bought yourself a mass amount of heart shaped chocolate from the store then here is the perfect recipe for you.

-2 tbsps cocoa powder
-¼ tsp baking powder
-pinch of salt
-3 tbsps milk
-3 tbsps vegetable oil

Get Cooking: Mix all the ingredients in a mug and microwave for 90 seconds. We recommend mixing 2 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp peanut butter and ¼ cup powdered sugar for a quick peanut butter frosting on top.
