The CannaDiva's "Girls Just Wanna Have Funds" Empowers Women-Owned Businesses To Succeed
Started your own brand but not sure how to grow it? The CannaDiva has your back with Girls Just Wanna Have Funds, a daylong workshop to empower women entrepreneurs to establish their foundation, learn the essentials, and walk confidently toward fundraising success. Presented by HPI Canna and hosted at Work'N'Roll NYC in New York’s Chelsea neighborhood on Thursday March 21st from 9AM to 6PM, this educational event will dispel the mysteries of the money game and put the “fun” in fundamentals.
Why Is The CannaDiva's "Girls Just Wanna Have Funds" Event Important For Women Entrepreneurs?
Tanya Osborne, founder of The CannaDiva, created the event because she knew that women needed more active pathways toward fundraising. Across the United States, women-owned businesses receive less than 2 percent of venture capital funding; in the cannabis industry, women seeking to raise capital find their valuations are severely reduced from what their male counterparts would get, often 30 to 40 percent lower. But Girls Just Wanna Have Funds aims to put the power back in the hands of the entrepreneurs themselves, through networking and financial literacy.
“The mission of Girls Just Wanna Have Funds is to empower women entrepreneurs by providing education, connections, and resources to help them navigate the process of raising capital,” Osborne says. “The vision… is to foster a community where women entrepreneurs have equal access and opportunities to secure funding, ensuring they can transform their innovative ideas into thriving businesses.”
Who Are The Speakers At The CannaDiva's "Girls Just Wanna Have Funds"?
Prominent women from across the spectrum of the cannabis industry, representing businesses from different aspects of the supply chain and ancillary services, will be on hand to share their experiences in a variety of panels and discussions. The program will also feature a “Reverse Pitch” session where accredited investors will explain what they look for in companies when adding to their portfolio.
Guest speakers slated to appear include Nancy Whiteman of Wana Brands, Jamie Alexandra Galvis of Hustle + Flo, Gia Moron of GVM Communications, Kristina Lopez Adduci of House of Puff, Sara Gluck of Ken Ahbus, Hillary Peckham of Etain Health, Brittany Carbone of TONIC, Cristina Buccola of CB Counsel, Julia Loni-Turner of CashBox Media, Mei-Ling Campbell of Higher Dama, Solonje Burnett of Weed Auntie, Precious Osage-Erese of Precious Canna Co., and Jeanne Sullivan of Arcview Ventures.
Who's Sponsoring The CannaDiva's "Girls Just Wanna Have Funds"?
