Explore OP6 CBD Sports Cream, a THC-free topical available in WARM and COOL formulas, and founder Craig Zaffe’s approach to staying active.

From teenage athletes to serious competitors, weekend warriors and seniors managing everyday aches, OP6 CBD Sports Cream is designed for one thing: helping active bodies stay active and to keep you in the game.

A CBD topical is designed to go exactly where you feel it. Instead of swallowing a tincture or capsule, you rub the cream directly into sore muscles, stiff joints or other areas that need attention. Get the medicine of the plant without the weediness.

Maybe you’re 16 and sore after practice. Maybe you train five days a week. Maybe your knees remind you that you’ve been using them for 70 years. The common denominator is the same: you want to feel better and keep moving.

That’s the audience behind OP6 CBD Sports Cream, the broad-spectrum CBD topical created by longtime cannabis educator Craig Zaffe. With 0.0% THC, OP6 is a THC-free recovery option that can span generations — including younger athletes.

“It’s a good introduction for people to start with CBDs because you put it on the outside. You don’t take it internally,” Zaffe says. “And once they use it, they become a believer.”

OP6 is currently the company’s flagship product, combining CBD with ingredients familiar to the sports and recovery world: menthol, magnesium sulfate, magnesium chloride, witch hazel, olive oil, coconut oil, hemp oil, peppermint oil, shea butter and mango seed butter.

“Our ingredients are great,” he says. “So that's why it works so well is because we have the right formula.”

WARM or COOL? It Depends on Your Body.

There is, of course, an argument nearly as old as the gym itself: hot or cold?

OP6 doesn’t force an answer. The sports cream comes in separate WARM and COOL formulations, letting consumers decide what makes sense for their routine.

Zaffe likes WARM around activity and COOL on the recovery side. The warming version contains hot chili oil, while the cooling option is intended for after physical exertion.

“I have some people who prefer the cool over the hot. I have other people like the hot over the cool. I have people who love them both,” he says. “They want the option of using the warm during the day and the cool at night.”

That choice makes OP6 something that can live in the daily rotation — before the gym, after practice, following a long shift, or when an old shoulder starts making itself known.

Built for Athletes — Including the Ones Who Used to Be

Zaffe’s relationship with sports extends beyond the branding on the jar.

He says OP6 has attracted former athletes and works as a wellness provider with the Retired Players Congress, which he describes as representing thousands of former NFL players. His business partner, former NFL player Reggie Grant, has also helped build relationships throughout the athletic community.

“A lot of former athletes reached out to us,” Zaffe says.

Professional careers end. The effects of years of training, impact and repetition often don’t.

But OP6 isn’t reserved for retired pros. Zaffe comes back to active people at virtually every age — particularly seniors, who may already be comfortable using topical products.

He recounts one customer who bought the cream at 96, liked it, then returned for two more containers for his children — who were themselves in their 70s.

“He loved it,” Zaffe says.

A CBD Product Without the Lifestyle Overhaul

Zaffe has been around cannabis for decades. He says he has consumed it since 1966 and grown it since 1988, much of that time as what he calls a “compassionate grower” helping friends and family.

His philosophy around OP6 centers heavily on education: getting people comfortable with CBD, understanding what they’re buying and looking for properly tested products.

“I think it’s all important that everything is third party tested,” he says. “Every product should have a COA, certificate of analysis, so people see exactly what they're putting in their body.”

And while OP6 is unmistakably a CBD product, its most persuasive pitch may be practicality.

You don’t need to change your lifestyle to use it. You don’t need to be a cannabis consumer, a professional athlete or young.

You just have to have a body you’re asking to do something again tomorrow.

Zaffe, in his 70s at the time of the interview, sums up that philosophy in one line:

“I’m going to be in better shape next year than this.”

OP6 is for anyone planning on being there with him.
