Deepsea Challenge 3D: James Cameron — the Man who gave us Avatar and Titanic — takes us on another Incredible Journey
If you’re wondering which movies to go see this weekend, don’t miss James Cameron‘s wondrous and eye-popping “Deepsea Challenge 3D.” The multiple Oscar winner has done it again. Cameron has combined his passions for movie making and deep sea diving as he did with “Titanic” and “The Abyss.” But this time it is a documentary. Cameron takes you on a journey down to the bottom of the sea. He and his engineering team spent seven years building a vertical submarine called the Deepsea Challenger. It’s a unique submersible that can dive down to the ocean’s greatest depths with Cameron manning the machine. He fitted the submersible with 3D cameras.Cameron is continuing to develop 3D imaging tools and workflows for cinema, television, documentaries and exploration.
