Cookies And Shoe Surgeon (SRGN) Studios Host The Ultimate Cannabis And Basketball Smokeout In Los Angeles
On Thursday, August 16th, the cannabis lifestyle brand took over Shoe Surgeon Studios, AKA SRGN Studios, in downtown Los Angeles for the ultimate smokeout. This was the perfect soiree offering food, cannabis, music, basketball, and nothing but good vibes.
For those who aren’t familiar, SRGN Studios - founded by footwear designer Dominic "The Shoe Surgeon" Ciambrone - hosts a men’s basketball league called The League every Thursday night, where brands are represented by teams as they play one another throughout the summer. The best part is most of these brands are fan favorites, such as Cookies, Timeless Vapes, and more.
Which Brands Were Represented At Cookies x SRGN Studios' Ultimate Smokeout?
This particular evening was special in its own right, as Cookies is such a staple in the cannabis community. The line was out the door upon arrival, with guests eager to get inside. Weedmaps was present as an event sponsor, along with OOKA, the world’s first cannabis hookah. OOKA recently collaborated with Cookies on two pods: the Hollywood rosin pod, and the London Pound Cake Indica dominant hybrid pod. They’re also working on the exclusive Cookies x OOKA collab coming soon!
Inside, guests were able to enter a raffle to receive Cookies products. This included their live resin dual chamber vape, 5-pack triple-infused pre-rolls, dual chamber distillate 3 in 1 vape, Erykah Badu “That Badu” pre-roll, and more. There was also an open bar and a food menu offering burgers, tacos, and quesadillas.
Celebrity sightings at the event included L.A. rappers Bino Rideaux and Casey Veggies.

All in all, this evening was a reminder of how cannabis can accentuate any setting, especially when it comes to the intersection of music and sports. The Cookies team was the last to play… and let’s just say attendees were in for a treat!
