Pride Month isn’t over till it’s over in NYC! Union Square Travel Agency: A Cannabis Store (USQTA), one of New York’s state-licensed dispensaries, has been putting its energy toward celebrating Pride all month long. This weekend, the retailer’s honoring of the LGBTQIA+ community will culminate in the storied NYC Pride Parade on Sunday, June 25th.
What Is Union Square Travel Agency: A Cannabis Store Doing For Pride Month?
Located at 62 East 13th Street, USQTA is in one of New York City’s busiest neighborhoods, and is just a short walk from The Stonewall Inn, birthplace of the LGBTQIA+ equality movement. It makes sense then that this dispensary, focused on bringing positive change and healing to its community, would be an official partner at the PrideFest street fair, surrounding the 2023 Pride Parade.
Union Square Travel Agency Collaborates With Cannabis Brands At PrideFest
USQTA will be part of a collaborative tent at PrideFest, with brand partners Drew Martin (curated collections of infused botanical prerolls), FLAMER (sungrown cannabis products pioneered by a community of artists and creatives), and Cann (the cannabis beverage made unforgettable with its viral music video “Taste So Good” starring the cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 14). All the partners are LGBTQIA+-owned cannabis companies making strides in inclusivity and product innovation.
LGBTQIA+-Owned Products Highlighted During Pride At Union Square Travel Agency
Throughout Pride Month, USQTA has been highlighting products from some of the retailer’s amazing LGBTQIIA+-owned brands, including Drew Martin. All month long, for every Drew Martin’s One Queer Preroll sold, the store has been matching a donation to the nonprofit organization GLITS (Gays and Lesbians Living In A Transgender Society). GLITS creates holistic solutions to the health and housing crises faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals facing systemic oppression and the intersecting impacts of criminalization, discrimination, and racism. The organization also advocates for the safety of sex workers, addresses incarceration and the LGBTQIA+ community, and works to establish a dedicated health clinic for the specific needs of individuals across the gender identity spectrum.
It’s not too late to help support the organization - USQTA continues to match the donation for every Drew Martin’s pre-roll sold through the end of June!
What Has Union Square Travel Agency Done For Pride In New York?
The dispensary will be a partner at this weekend’s NY Pride Social on Saturday, June 24th, a special event in collaboration with The CannaDiva and Tokeativity. Previously this month, USQTA has helped kick off Juneteenth activities with a strong presence at Sheba Baby’s “The Father Effect” initiative, promoting wellness and growth for men, and the Natural High Company’s 2nd annual “Plates and Plants” dinner series which discussed how to make a difference in cannabis equity in both the legacy and emerging markets. On Thursday June 22nd, USQTA was involved with the Revelry Buyers Club in Hudson, which empowered operators in the New York cannabis market to create impactful relationships and cultivate a healthy, collaborative, and sustainable industry.
“I’m so thrilled that USQTA is supporting Pride in such a big way,” said Mike Conway, Vice President of Retail for the dispensary. “I’m part of the LGBTQIA+ community, and am proud our store is leading in this area, reinforcing that cannabis is a plant that brings together people from all walks of life.”

USQTA is also partnered year-round with The Doe Fund, a long-running nonprofit aimed at ending recidivism and homelessness in New York and abroad. A substantial portion of the proceeds from the dispensary go to benefit The Doe Fund’s operations and its constituents.
