Hell’s Kitchen just got a little greener—and a lot more iconic. NYC Bud, the cannabis brand known for turning transit nostalgia into immersive retail experiences, has officially opened the doors to its second New York dispensary. Located at 405 West 39th Street, this new flagship pays homage to none other than Grand Central Terminal, reimagined through a cannabis lens.
From the moment you step inside, you’re transported—not just by the products on the shelves, but by the visual storytelling woven into every inch of the space. A replica of the central ticket booth welcomes visitors, framed by vintage subway signage and a celestial ceiling inspired by the iconic zodiac constellations of Grand Central’s main concourse. It’s a space where cannabis meets design, and culture meets movement.
“This one is more an ode to Grand Central Station,” said NYC Bud co-founder and owner Jonpaul Pezzo. “Our first location had an actual train in it. With this one, we wanted to elevate the idea—create something that feels just as epic and just as New York.”

The Hell’s Kitchen dispensary is the second in the NYC Bud chain, following the success of their Long Island City debut, which quickly became a standout for its life-size subway car centerpiece and MTA-inspired aesthetic. That commitment to theme and experience isn’t just a gimmick—it’s rooted in the founders’ deep love for the city and its rhythms.
For Pezzo, the opening feels like the continuation of a dream he’s still pinching himself over. “I mean, the fact that we're even able to do this—it’s been a long time coming. It’s still surreal that we’re legally selling cannabis,” he told Honeysuckle during the opening day celebration.
And while the design might draw crowds, the heart of NYC Bud is still in the plant. “Me? I’m strictly flower,” Pezzo said with a grin. “I don’t vape. I’ll eat gummies to sleep, but I love flower.”

The dispensary officially celebrated with a soft opening on August 1, followed by a grand opening and ribbon-cutting on August 2. The event brought out industry insiders, community members, and fans of the brand who were eager to experience one of the city’s most uniquely designed cannabis retail spaces.
What sets NYC Bud apart isn’t just its commitment to product quality or legal compliance—it’s the way the brand honors the pulse of New York. Each location feels like a stop along a cultural route, where transit, cannabis, and creativity intersect.
With this latest launch, Pezzo and his co-founder Giancarlo Pinto are continuing their mission to create destination dispensaries that don’t just sell cannabis—they celebrate it.
