Lady Luck! Honeysuckle’s April Newsletter
Honeysuckle Newsletter: Happy 2018!
We partied hard amid a plethora of special guests, including many contributors and entrepreneurs from the cannabis community, such as our sponsors Sticky Fingrs (check out their user-friendly medical grinders) and advertisers like the lifestyle brand Quad Deuce Nil.
Guests sampled infusions by the edibles/tinctures brand Spleef, and product placement by Indigo & Haze (CBD-infused skincare) and My Bud Vase (designer bongs) put smiles on everybody’s faces.
We are in nearly 200 locations in NYC, Long Island and the tri-state area, plus info to come on Austin, Boston, Denver, Detroit, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia, with data updating all the time. The most recent cities added to the list are: Elmsford, Mt. Vernon, New Rochelle, Ossining, Scarsdale, Tarrytown, and Yonkers in NY plus Ardmore and Langhorne, PA.
CANNABIS, our 6thprinted edition, is our largest print run to date! You can find copies using our Store Locator:
At Honeysuckle we’re always painting the town red. Last week we trekked to the Explorers Club, NYC for an enlightening lecture on the rainforest (more on that below). March saw our founder Ronit Pinto participating in the Women Business Owners Networking event and photo shoot, sponsored by Healthfirst and Harlem Community News. It’s so inspiring to be part of this community of strong women.
Next, Honeysuckle goes to Washington, DC: What an honor for CANNABIS to be an official VIP giftbag selection at the National Cannabis Festival! This landmark event is part education, part activism, part music fest and all-around fun on April 21, 2017. You can still get your tickets (and join us the day before at NCF’s Policy Summit for the latest in legalization).
We are also in the giftbags at some special St. Patrick’s Day parades in DC (it’s the luck of the Canna), and will had the honor of attending the NYC premiere of the groundbreaking documentary Mary Janes: The Women of Weed on March 21st. This special collaboration between Women Grow and Merry Jane, on National Rosie the Riveter Day and in time for Women’s History Month, gives voice to gender parity in the cannabis sector. Stay tuned for a special interview with the documentary’s director Windy Borman!
NEW COLUMN
We’re excited to announce the new column “Blunt Legal Talk” with attorney and award-winning author David Feldman. A partner at Duane Morris LLP, David is truly an authority on all aspects of business and cannabis law. In his first piece, he analyzes what we’re all wondering – Is Jeff Sessions going to kill cannabis? Read his answer now:

SUSTAIN
The CANNABIS journey has been so inspiring, we’re extending our coverage to larger issues surrounding our planet. Our next print issue SUSTAIN (June 2018) will examine the most important topics affecting our relationship with Planet Earth. Major features will include interviews with leaders in the environmental, agricultural, justice and tech spaces. We aim to provide a hopeful and informed view of the future with spotlights on celebrity activists, conservationists, initiatives in eco-friendly living – and of course, advances in cannabis and hemp as scientifically “magical” plant resources! Sneak peeks into the issue: we’re proud to feature Jess Phoenix, a geologist running for Congress who intends to bring “Star Trek values” into politics, and companies finding innovative and sustainable uses for charcoal in personal products.
Here’s our first post on sustainability. You’ll see more to follow, and we can’t wait for you to join the conversation!
