At CHAMPS Las Vegas, one of the most influential figures in cannabis culture made his presence known—Yung LB, co-founder of the legendary Runtz brand, sat down with Honeysuckle’s Shirley Ju for a candid conversation on growth, innovation, and staying true to the game.
LB, known for pioneering premium genetics and redefining what cannabis branding could look like, was there to introduce his latest venture: Comfort.
“Comfort is luxury,” he said with calm confidence. “It’s a high, elegant brand. All about coziness. When you smoke the product, you just want to relax.”
That concept of indulgent calm is being taken to the next level—LB is preparing to release a wine infused with THCI, a move that blends elevated taste with plant-based experience. Though whispers of similar products have floated through the industry, LB noted that “nobody actually… physically did it.” As usual, he’s ahead of the curve.
When asked about the key to longevity in the cannabis space, LB dropped a jewel that transcends industry:
“System. It don’t matter what game you in… You could be selling soil, you just got to have soil all day. It’s about consistency.”
True words from someone who’s turned a strain into a lifestyle—and a lifestyle into a global phenomenon.
On the international side, LB had high praise for Europe, especially Berlin, where he recently appeared at Mary Jane Berlin.
“It felt like home,” he said simply, giving props to the team behind the Berlin event.
But more than sales, more than global expansion, more than the wine or the weed—LB came back to one thing that’s made Runtz and everything else he touches a success:
“If you in it to make millions of dollars, I think you already failed… You gotta love it. That’s the only way the game is going to be able to pay you back.”
From luxury product drops to global takeovers, Yung LB reminds us: it's always deeper than dollars. It’s love, it’s culture, and it’s comfort.
