Saktu's "10 Years Of Heisenberg" Weedsday Playlist

To mark the anniversary, Saktu has created his own Decade of Heisenberg Weedsday Playlist: "As we celebrate 10 years of the Heisenberg label, I’d like to share with you five outstanding tracks from our history. Each of these tracks has played a significant role in shaping the label’s journey and legacy."

Little Hado - "Miscare"

The first track released on Heisenberg is an outstanding 10-minute minimal journey—a masterclass in how Romanian minimal house sounded a decade ago. This release holds a special place in our history, not only for its musical brilliance, but also for the unique circumstances surrounding it.

An interesting fact: I promised Little Hado a gig in exchange for the release, and we planned the event for my birthday in October 2014 at the Heisenberg club. Unfortunately, the club was closed before the event could happen. Luckily, some friends were preparing to open a new warehouse club around the same time, and we decided to move the party there.

However, just 30 minutes before the party was set to start, the owners informed us the club wasn’t ready. By then, we knew around 1,000 people were planning to attend. In a frantic hour, we found a solution: a small venue with a capacity of just 100 people. By 1 a.m., the club was packed with over 300 people inside and hundreds more outside. The doors had to be shut, but the atmosphere was electric, creating one of the most unforgettable parties we’ve ever hosted.

This night marked a turning point—the closing of the Heisenberg club gave rise to the Heisenberg label, and the rest is history.

Paul Yudin - "Dubrawa"

This one is truly for the books—the third vinyl-only release on Heisenberg by the incredibly talented yet underrated Paul Yudin, aka Pavel Iudin. This record marked a special moment for the label and became a standout in our catalog.

It was released in August 2015 and in October same year I attended the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). Over four whirlwind days and nights, I went to 3-4 parties each night. Everywhere I went, this record was being played. It was surreal, and it was the first time I realised we had a true hit on our hands—a global underground "hit."

Alex Adamov And Saktu - "Unsa"

“Unsa” is undoubtedly the most well-known track on Heisenberg, with over 1,000 vinyl copies sold and countless more in digital sales. It’s a track that truly put the label on the map.

Originally, Alex and I started “Unsa” in my home studio, using the Yamaha DX-200 for the bassline. It initially felt a bit too house-oriented for Heisenberg’s sound, so I decided to show it around to other labels. Around that time, Prunk and Chris Stussy had just launched PIV. They loved the track and were keen to sign it.

However, after months of back-and-forth, we couldn’t align on timing or format. In the end, I decided to release it on Heisenberg—and I don’t regret that decision for a second. “Unsa” became a defining moment for the label, and it’s still a track I absolutely love playing, even after all these years.

Monteki And Silat Beksi - "Boss 303 (Silat Beksi Remix)"

If you ask me about the best remix ever released on Heisenberg, this is undoubtedly it. Ukrainian producer and close friend Silat Beksi delivered an absolutely incredible remix of Monteki’s “Boss 303”.

Silat’s rework elevated the original to another level, showcasing his signature blend of hypnotic rhythms and intricate textures. It’s a track that embodies the essence of our label: forward-thinking, deep, and unforgettable. This remix remains a standout in Heisenberg’s catalog and a testament to Silat’s extraordinary talent.

Ogni - "Flywing"

From time to time, Tobi Neumann and I release music under the alias OGNI, and this track is one of our latest creations on Heisenberg's sub-label, Ogni Tapes. This musical journey is a true showcase of modular synthesis and analog sound at its finest.

I genuinely believe that we’ve crafted a timeless piece with this track—one that can be played and appreciated 10 or even 20 years from now. I’m incredibly proud of what Tobi and I accomplished here.
