It’s officially Halloween season — and Weedmaps is celebrating in a major way.
Welcome to THE STIGMA, an all-new haunted attraction taking over downtown Los Angeles and redefining what it means to be scared. On Friday, October 10th, Weedmaps kicked off the experience with an exclusive opening night, inviting friends, family, artists, and culture-makers for an immersive evening of fear, fantasy, and cannabis.
From the moment guests stepped inside, the vibes were immaculate: curated lighting, gourmet bites, flowing drinks, and of course — clouds of the finest California flower. But the real thrill began at the back of the venue, where a massive maze loomed under flashing hazard lights. The wait was worth every second.
Narrated by NFL legend Marshawn Lynch, the haunt transported visitors into the chaos of a biohazard outbreak gone wrong — a world where containment has failed and terror waits behind every corner. The football icon himself was even on-site, lending his trademark charisma to an already electric night.
Inside the labyrinth, fiction and reality blurred. Guests stumbled through the flickering corridors of a quarantined police station and morgue, surrounded by fog, sirens, screaming officers, and hazmat teams losing control. The production design was nothing short of Hollywood-caliber: lifelike prosthetics, eerie lighting, dynamic sound, and perfectly timed jump scares made the experience pulse with cinematic intensity.
Once guests escaped the chaos, the energy flowed into an open-air afterparty complete with food trucks, brand activations, and live DJ sets. Top cannabis names like Dodi, Originals, West Coast Cure, CBX, Traditional, STIIIZY, Wizard Trees, and Nameless came together to showcase the best of the culture — blending smoke, music, and community into one unforgettable night.
Because THE STIGMA isn’t just a haunted house. It’s a statement. A bold, visceral metaphor about how fear and misunderstanding can distort perception — and how cannabis, like any great counterculture, continues to break boundaries and rewrite the narrative.
Weedmaps turned fear into art. And in the process, they reminded everyone that sometimes, confronting “the stigma” is the most thrilling experience of all.
