The Artist Tree Opens New Dispensary In Hawthorne, California
The Artist Tree continues to prove why they are one of the most favored dispensaries and consumption lounges in the city of Los Angeles. With the success of their first location in the heart of West Hollywood, it’s only right they expand even further.
On Saturday, August 31st, The Arist Tree celebrated the grand opening of their newest shop located at 4756 W. Imperial Highway in Hawthorne, California. The prime spot sits perfectly right on the corner of a bustling interaction, just 10 minutes away from LAX airport.
Similar to the West Hollywood location, this one triples as a dispensary, art gallery, and consumption lounge. The Artist Tree prides themselves in featuring local artists, giving them an opportunity to shine and collaborate with the cannabis community. Today’s event saw live painting from Tyler Misha, whose distinct artwork was placed all over the store.
The Artist Tree doesn’t just offer top of the line weed products from other brands, they have their own. They currently have delicious vegan edibles, flower, and are launching vapes next. And for the customer who’s looking for something specific, the store is separated into categories such as edibles, drinks, wellness, vapes, and more.
Caroline Fontein, Director of Marketing at Artist Tree, explains how this was years in the making.
“3 years ago, the city reached out,” Caroline states. “We worked really closely with the Chamber of Commerce. They wanted to open up licensing, they'd been looking at different dispensaries so they reached out to Artist Tree. At our ribbon cutting a couple weeks ago, one of the founders said a lot of the people from the city were here and it was really awesome to see that support. We're super excited about it.”
She continues, “It's been in the works for years. They wanted to make sure when they brought a dispensary in, it was really somebody who was going to represent the community, but also bring a really good environment. In doing this business, really setting the bar high. They had seen The Artist Tree, they came out to the WeHo location and really liked what they saw there. They've been working with us on this for the past 3 years to get licensing and everything done. Because everything has to be approved. Even the mural outside the building, they approve it. We submit the design, they have to approve it. We want to make sure we're doing things that are enhancing the community and align with where they want to be going.
The grand opening was a vibe in itself, with live music, food, vendors, and of course, art. In the middle is the mini-grow, with clones available to purchase.
And while the consumption lounge isn’t open quite yet, this serves as a great space for people to gather and explore the intersection of cannabis and art, empowering guests to tap into their innermost creativity.
