The New Jersey cannabis industry will gather once again in Atlantic City this fall as the New Jersey Cannabis Convention returns to the Atlantic City Convention Center on September 18-19, 2026. Produced by NECANN, the event marks its seventh year in the Garden State and is expected to bring together more than 5,000 cannabis professionals, entrepreneurs, advocates, operators, and consumers for two days of education, networking, and business development.
Widely recognized as one of the largest cannabis industry gatherings in the region, the convention will feature more than 200 exhibiting companies showcasing products, services, technology, cultivation solutions, and business resources designed to support the rapidly evolving cannabis marketplace.
A major highlight of the event is the return of the New Jersey NECANN CUP Awards, which are open to all licensed operators and cultivators throughout the state. The competition is designed to recognize excellence across New Jersey's cannabis sector and celebrate the products and producers setting the standard for quality in the market.
The convention's educational programming will span four dedicated tracks and more than 35 sessions led by industry experts. Topics will include social equity initiatives, entrepreneurship, branding, cultivation, regulatory compliance, business strategy, energy efficiency, and emerging opportunities throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
In addition to educational sessions, attendees can participate in a robust lineup of networking opportunities and community-focused events. Programming includes an Exhibitor & Buyer Networking Party on Thursday evening, the Official NECANN After-Party on Friday night, Speed Networking sessions, and the New Jersey Cannabis Mixer at Treehouse.
Community engagement remains a core component of the convention's mission. Attendees will have access to a free Expungement Clinic, while Blunt Bunch will host two full days of complimentary programming and networking opportunities in the Women's Lounge. A free shuttle service will also operate between the convention center and High Rollers Dispensary throughout both event days.
"Like all NECANN events, the New Jersey Cannabis Convention is individually designed for this state's cannabis market, giving a real opportunity for local industry leaders, advocates, entrepreneurs, career and knowledge seekers, and the canna-curious to come together to learn and meet the people paving the way for this exciting new industry," said Marc Shepard, Founder and President of NECANN.
"With the cannabis industry heating up in the Mid-Atlantic, it's also a timely opportunity for operating and new businesses alike to engage with and learn from consumers, promote their businesses, and promote their products."
The exhibit hall will be open Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., offering attendees access to the latest innovations, demonstrations, and networking opportunities across the cannabis ecosystem.
Since 2014, NECANN has produced one of the nation's largest cannabis event series, hosting conventions throughout New Jersey, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania. The organization's events continue to serve as a platform for education, advocacy, business development, and industry growth.
