Smokeless September

We all know the iconic Volcano device, but what if we told you there’s a portable version?!

Introducing the VENTY, STORZ & BICKEL’s newest dry herb vaporizer that will undoubtedly change the game for stoners. In fact, they launched the first-ever #SmokelessSeptember Challenge to educate audiences all around the world on how vaping is a way better method of consuming cannabis compared to other traditional combustion methods.

Princeton-based psychiatrist, educator and harm reduction advocate Dr. David Nathan states, “

While not nearly as carcinogenic and dangerous as smoking tobacco, smoking cannabis has nonetheless been associated with a number of health risks, such as chronic bronchitis. Fortunately, there is good evidence that vaporization of cannabis is a safer alternative to cannabis s”oking. Vaporization greatly reduces the inhalation of carbon monoxide and other hazardous combustion products.

He continues “However, the use of vape pens isn’t the same as the vaporization of natural cannabis plant material. The liquid in vape pens can contain a number of additives that themselves can be harmful. In fact, it’s very likely that a specific additive — vitamin E acetate — led to the crisis of EVALI (e-cigarette or vaping product use-associated lung injury) in unregulated vape pens about five years ago. Also, cannabis flower contains a number of compounds that appear to work together synergistically, but this ‘entourage effect’ can be lost when the plant is processed into almost pure THC concentrates like those put into vape pens.”

Nathan believes the vaporization of whole cannabis flower is the safest and most effective route of cannabis inhalation, which is why the VENTY is so valuable for both medical patients and recreational users.

The VENTY is not only their fastest device, but the first vaporizer of its kind to offer an adjustable airflow. It only takes 20 seconds to heat up with a click of a button, allowing an airflow of 20 liters/minute at the maximum stage.

As opposed to smoking joints or blunts, vaping offers a slew of benefits including improved aroma and taste, increased efficiency of inhalation, precise temperature control, combustion-free, and less coughing.

Nathan adds, “Some people might think of edibles as an alternative to cannabis smoking, but oral consumption of cannabis is very different from inhalation. Cannabis edibles and drinks take longer to be absorbed, typically kicking in between 30 minutes and two hours. The effects also last a lot longer, so if you inadvertently take too much, the unpleasant effects can last many hours. By contrast, the inhalation of cannabis allows for the fastest absorption of cannabinoids, working quickly and enabling patients and consumers to reach their optimal intake without overdoing it. The rule of thumb for new cannabis users is to ‘start low and go slow,’ which is much easier to achieve with inhalation versus oral consumption.”
