Havoc Opens The Bridge in Queens, Bringing Hip-Hop Legacy and Cannabis Ownership Together
For more than 30 years, Havoc has been one of the defining voices of New York hip-hop.
As a founding member of the legendary group Mobb Deep, the Queensbridge native helped shape the sound of East Coast rap, producing and performing on some of the most influential records in hip-hop history. Now, he's adding another chapter to his legacy—this time as a cannabis entrepreneur investing directly into the borough that helped build his career.
On June 6 and 7, Havoc will officially celebrate the grand opening of The Bridge, a licensed adult-use dispensary located in Astoria, Queens. The highly anticipated opening combines cannabis, culture, and community while bringing together some of New York's most respected figures in music and entertainment.
The weekend-long celebration features appearances from acclaimed producer The Alchemist, New York radio icon Funk Flex, and legendary DJ Kid Capri. Guests can expect live DJ sets, product activations, giveaways, food vendors, celebrity appearances, and opportunities to engage with leaders from both the cannabis and entertainment industries.
"Hip-hop gave me a platform, but ownership creates a legacy," Havoc said. "The Bridge is about building something lasting in the community that raised me. Queens has always been part of my identity, and being able to invest here means everything."
The opening represents a significant milestone not only for Havoc, but also for the continued evolution of New York's legal cannabis industry. As the regulated market matures, more artists, entrepreneurs, and cultural figures are moving beyond endorsements and licensing agreements toward direct ownership and long-term investment.
For Havoc, The Bridge is about more than opening a storefront. It is a commitment to economic opportunity, community engagement, and creating a business with roots in the neighborhood that shaped his story.
From the halls of the Queensbridge Houses to stages around the world, Havoc's career has been defined by authenticity, resilience, and influence. Through The Bridge, he is channeling decades of cultural impact into a business designed to create lasting value for the next generation.
The opening also reflects a broader shift happening across New York's cannabis landscape, where legacy culture and regulated business continue to intersect in meaningful ways. As ownership opportunities expand, businesses like The Bridge demonstrate how artists can leverage their platforms to create wealth, build infrastructure, and invest directly into their communities.
"The Bridge represents possibility," Havoc added. "It shows what's possible when people from our communities have the opportunity to own, build, and invest in the future."
As customers walk through the doors this weekend, they won't simply be visiting a new dispensary. They'll be witnessing the next chapter of a Queensbridge success story decades in the making.
