“Maybe I am someone who sees things differently because I have lived in conflict zones.” Iranian-born entrepreneur, artist, and activist Sharoz Makarechi @sharozzie explains how governmental corruption changed the culture she grew up in, and how these same influences are manipulating communities across the Middle East and on a global scale.

As she strives to create healing discourse and solutions for equity, both personally and professionally through @substance.usa@equityflag and more, Sharoz also reminds us that we are all essentially connected, even if we have different perspectives.

Like she says: “There’s more that we have in common, and will always have in common, than what this divisive nature of our times reflects right now.”
