This is what happens when two powerful forces in cannabis collide.

Connected Cannabis Co. And Leafly Launch Tropical Z Strain At The Artist Tree

On Thursday, August 29th, Connected Cannabis Co. teamed up with Leafly to celebrate the release of their newest strain called Tropical Z (or colloquially, Trop Z), a sativa-hybrid that serves as a cross of Xeno x GDPTHH #9. The event took place at The Artist Tree on Santa Monica Boulevard in Los Angeles, one of West Hollywood’s most popular dispensaries and consumption lounges.

The best part was the fact that this marked the first time weed has ever been available for pre-order, with all 40 jars selling out immediately. There was also a line out the door and down the block when the event kicked off at 5:30pm, a testament to the quality of flower that Connected provides.

During the event, Leafly’s Senior Editor David Downs conducted an Instagram Live interview with Caleb Counts, the founder of Connected. As you can see in the background, the lounge was jampacked with people, with professional joint rollers rolling up the new strain for attendees to try. This was a perfect example of how brands are able to give back to their community, providing them an unforgettable experience while testing the amazing new flower.

Leafly Connects Connected

Downs had some kind words to share about Caleb, including the fact that he’s a rockstar in his own right, organically building his audience since 2008 when Connected was born and pioneering various efforts as a cannabis advocate, including helping to write the regulations for his hometown of Sacramento. Leafly’s role was to be the connective tissue between all parties involved, making sure the product information is communicated efficiently, direct to consumer.

Merch bags were on-site, as well as the opportunity to order from Artist Tree’s robust menu of goodies.
