Cannafest Prague 2025: Where the Global Cannabis Scene Met Its Moment
Prague in November is a city that hums softly beneath the fog—its gothic rooftops glowing gold under low light, its beer colder and conversations deeper. For three days, that quiet pulse gave way to something electric. From November 7–9, 2025, Cannafest Prague turned the PVA Expo Letňany into the beating heart of Europe’s cannabis culture.

Now in its 15th year, Cannafest isn’t just a trade show anymore—it’s a cultural meeting ground. The anniversary edition drew more than 250 exhibitors and over 30,000 visitors from every corner of the world: cultivators, innovators, seed banks, glass artists, extractors, educators, and media brands all weaving together a vibrant tapestry of what cannabis looks like in 2025.
A Living Ecosystem of the Plant
Every hall was alive with sensory energy. The air smelled like terpenes and toasted hemp; conversations buzzed in English, Czech, Spanish, German. You could walk ten feet and move from LED grow light demos to artisanal rolling paper displays to an entire corner devoted to hemp-based textiles.
This year, organizers expanded the show’s universe with a Hemp Beer Festival, live glassblowing exhibitions, and a curated Cannafest Cinema—a reminder that cannabis, like Prague itself, sits at the intersection of craft and philosophy.
“It’s not just about product anymore,” one exhibitor told us. “It’s about presence. The people, the experience, the energy—it’s cultural.”

Where Industry Meets Identity
Outside the main expo floor, the spirit of Cannafest spilled into the city. Across Prague, dinners, after-hours lounges, and B2B mixers lit up the night—where brand founders, cultivators, and creators shared stories over pints and hash rosin.
European pioneers stood shoulder-to-shoulder with North American icons, bridging the gap between legacy markets and new legal frameworks. Conversations about genetics, supply chains, and creative partnerships mingled with laughter, clinking glasses, and the occasional cloud of vapor drifting under chandelier light.

As one veteran grower from Barcelona put it: “Europe’s finally catching up—but it’s doing it its own way. You can feel the culture maturing here.”
Why It Mattered More This Year
With legalization movements rippling through Germany, Czechia, and beyond, Cannafest 2025 felt like a threshold moment. The energy was grounded yet optimistic—more strategic, more intentional. Exhibitors weren’t just showcasing strains; they were building identities, telling stories, and connecting with a broader creative movement that includes wellness, design, and lifestyle.
For many, Prague represented a crossroad between tradition and tomorrow—a place where glassblowers become philosophers, and seed breeders talk terpenes like sommeliers.

A Cultural Snapshot
If you wanted to understand what cannabis looks like in 2025—not just as an industry, but as a living culture—Cannafest was the lens. The visuals alone told the story:
- Installations of shimmering glass rigs catching the light.
- Hemp textiles draped like couture.
- Packaging that felt more art book than dispensary shelf.
- People dancing, trading stories, trading seeds.
And then there was the food—Czech comfort dishes alongside vegan hemp innovations—proof that cannabis, like any culture worth celebrating, feeds both body and soul.
Looking Ahead
Fifteen years in, Cannafest Prague has evolved from a niche expo into a global ritual—a place where the plant meets philosophy, where legacy meets innovation, and where community still means everything.
For those of us who live and breathe this industry—who’ve watched it grow through grit, art, and endless hustle—Prague 2025 reminded us why we show up. Not just to network or promote, but to connect. To celebrate what we’ve built, and imagine what comes next.
